Chef Andrea Leonelli

Chef Andrea Leonelli is the culinary soul of Locanda Rovicciano. Born in 1970 and a graduate of the renowned IPSAR Buontalenti in Florence, he began his professional journey in the mid-1980s, quickly advancing from kitchen assistant to executive chef. After working at prestigious establishments across Italy, he refined his skills in London and New York, where he cooked for the Italian delegation at the United Nations.

Since 2006, he has been the resident chef at Locanda Rovicciano, where he has developed a cuisine that blends technical mastery with deep-rooted respect for local traditions. Each dish is the result of careful study, passion, and attention to detail, while remaining true to the Umbrian culinary heritage.

Andrea is renowned for creating refined dishes without ever losing the warmth of true hospitality. Through his classes and dinners, he shares his vision with enthusiasm and humility, delivering culinary experiences that resonate and endure.

Authentic, skilled, and deeply passionate, chef Leonelli embodies the philosophy of the Locanda: a cuisine that is not spectacle, but narrative. A story rich with the aromas of home, forest, and Umbria.
